Jessica and Drew’s engagement session was absolutely perfect! It may look like November, but it’s actually spring, believe it or not! Iowa’s weather has been a little strange this year!! Despite the fact that there are no leaves on the trees, their photos turned out beautifully! Their love for each other shows in every photo! These two love birds are getting married on October 6th in Cedar Rapids and we couldn’t be more excited to spend the day with them! ❤️
Jessica and Drew have been together for six years, they met while working at the same shift at FedEx. They enjoy doing absolutely everything together, even when everything means nothing. Jessica said that if she had to choose a favorite thing, it would probably be fishing and anything outdoors!
The Proposal Story:
“Drew proposed on February 17th, 2017 while we were on our annual Valentine’s Ice Fishing trip. We weren’t having any luck by the end of the day he handed me the jig box and asked me to pick a different jig. The ring was in the middle compartment, I missed it the first time grabbing for a pink jig. He told me to keep looking. I then saw it, did a double take and was in disbelief. He got video of it and everything. I may have used some choice words that are now being tossed around by our friends and family.”
“I love that he can make me laugh or smile any time of the day. Even something as boring as a car ride or just watching T.V. he manages to find a way to make me laugh. I love that he is full of adventure. I love that we are almost always on the same page and even when we aren’t, we are both willing to compromise to make eachother happy. I love that he finds joy in some many things! I am always inspired by his countless hobbies. I love how calming he is when I get a little anxious or stressed. I love how much I trust him when he says it’s going to be ok. I love how he sends the most simple little messages throughout the day to make me feel thought of or cared for. I love how easy it is to love him.” -Jessica
“I love that she enjoys the MANY hobbies that I am always interested in. I also love that she is willing to try anything I cook or make, though sometimes it takes a little convincing for her to finally try it. And finally, I love that I feel completely accepted as one of the family, even though I never got to meet her dad they all say that he would of loved me.” -Drew
“We are so excited for life after the wedding. Wherever life takes us, we are excited to be doing it together, as a family! Getting to spend the rest of your life with your best friend is the best thing about marriage.”
“I love how personal yet professional our engagement session was. The small talk and questions Veronica asked felt like she was really trying to get to know us. She could tell if a pose was uncomfortable. Most of all it was fun and most poses we were in felt like us, felt natural.”
