Palisades-Kepler State Park in Mount Vernon was the perfect location for Lara and Peter’s engagement session! They are getting married on August 25th at Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City, with a reception following at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Jaclyn is so excited to photograph their wedding!!

“We’ve been together for six years and met at Tanager Place, where we both used to work.”

The Proposal Story: 
“He proposed in November 2017. He called me and told me he got our dog a new dog tag that he thought I would like. When he got home from work he quick put the new dog tag on the dog (without me noticing) and he told me to call the dog over to  me so I could see her new tag. It read, “Marry My Daddy?”

“I love how caring and thoughtful he is. He cheers me up when I am down. In some ways we are total opposites so we complement each other well.”

“I love how independent she is but also how she lets me take care of her.”

“We are so excited to start a family and enjoy our life together.”

“We always have fun together. It doesn’t matter if we are just sitting on the couch watching one of our favorite shows or are out trying something new. We love spending time together.”
